"This is the way horror audio should be done... Hall of Mirrors is a refreshingly fun experience that's well worth downloading -- you'll love every strange and grotesque moment!" -- Michael Arnzen, Bram Stoker Award winning author of Proverbs for Monsters

"Mike Bennett may well be creating or re-inventing a genre as art form in a fashion unseen since Vincent Price's brilliant 50's series, 'The Price of Fear' but deeper, more clever, with colors and theatre far exceding the Price formula."

Jake Slatnesky (iTunes Customer Reviews)

A second helping of podcast fiction from ‘One Among the Sleepless’ author, Mike Bennett. ‘Hall of Mirrors’ is a short story collection featuring tales of horror, the grotesque and people in... 'unusual’ circumstances'.

Delivered in a style that pays homage to Night Gallery, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the old British horror anthology movies of the 1960s, this is a collection of modern gothic tales with a nail of dark humour hammered through its heart. So roll up, ladies and gentlemen, and enter the Hall of Mirrors – if you dare.

“... the image begins to move and stir, like slow mercury; our reflections swirl in the sinuous liquid of the glass until it starts to still. And slowly, as it settles, we see not ourselves, but... an English garden: nothing grand, nothing stately, just the private suburban garden of a private suburban home. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and from somewhere out of sight the sound of children’s laughter carries through the shimmering surface of the glass.

Shall we pass through, you and I, into this world, or would you prefer to turn away? All we need do is step forward through the frame and into this summer's day. Here, reach through... Can you feel the sun’s heat on the skin of your hand?

How can you resist?

Master Of Spooky Voices!
If you thought that gurgle-y mucus-y voice on Hair and Skin was spooky, you should hear the demons in Salvation. This is another haunting tale to make you shiver.

Excellent Tales Of Horror!
Mike, you really have a knack of getting us right in the middle of the tale. As if we were the characters living it. That whole hair thing was totally scary. The mouth and the gurgle-y mucus-y voice will give me nightmares for a long time. Thanks!

Six Seconds
Six Seconds...that's how long it took me to fall in love with this podcast. I love Mike's writing and delivery. He is twisted and strange and just different. Six seconds for me. Ten minutes for the people I work with. After ten minutes they demanded that I turn up the volume so they could listen too. Good Job Mike. Sleepless in now going into my play list too.
